Annual Public Safety & Community Appreciation Luncheon

District Attorney Anne Marie Schubert will host the 21st Annual Public Safety & Community Appreciation Luncheon:

Due to ongoing health concerns regarding COVID-19, we are cancelling the 2020 Public Safety Luncheon.

This annual event honors all those within our community who sacrifice and work to protect the safety and well-being of the Sacramento region.  It is also a time to remember our fallen officers and their families for the ultimate sacrifice they have made on behalf of the community.

With more than 600 attendees across all sectors – including public safety, public and elected officials, community and faith-based leaders, educators, health care providers, business professionals and individual citizens – this is truly a community-wide unifying event.

This year’s theme “Journey of Hope: Community Pathways Toward Overcoming the Opioid Crisis” will focus on how the community can come together to provide hope, guidance and support toward opioid recovery and redemption.

DA Schubert will serve as moderator of a panel of representatives who will provide their unique insight into the opioid epidemic and share stories of those overcoming addiction.  This year’s panelists are the Honorable Lawrence Brown of the Sacramento Superior Court, Chief Lee Seale of the Sacramento County Probation Department, Neil Flynn, M.D., of the Transitions Clinic, Richard Ayala, MSW, of Bound to Change Counseling and Consulting and Abbey Roderick, a survivor.

Financial contributions are needed to underwrite the cost of the event, and to keep ticket prices affordable for all those who wish to attend.  Sponsorship opportunities are linked below.
